You have located the lair of the Mythos Haiku...

Webster's Dictionary has this to say:
an unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usually 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively;

Of course, since this is the Lair of the Mythos Haiku, the rules are a little different.
The Haikus here are called Mythkus,
and the following form rules apply...

1. 3 Lines TOTAL
2. 17 Syllables total
3. Does NOT have to be rigid 5 7 5 structure
4. MUST be relevant to H.P. Lovecraft or the Cthulhu Mythos, with exceptions allowable if involving references to Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu products.
5. Last, but NOT least, each line needs to be a self contained concept or thought form. For clarity, please read this Haiku FAQ. Then follow this lesson plan.
